DMAP was originally prepared by Gerard Rushton and Marc P. Armstrong, Dept. of Geography with assistance from Charles Lynch and James Rohrer, Dept. of Preventive Medicine and Program in Hospital and Health Administration. The software was prepared with grant funds from the U.S. Department of Education, (FIPSE), and matching funds from the University of Iowa. Neither the institution nor the two senior authors assume responsibility for the contents of the EpiAnalyst including the DMAP software provided by the permission of Gerard Rushton.

CrimeStat is copyrighted by and the property of Ned Levine and Associates and is intended for the use of law enforcement agencies, criminal justice researchers, and educators. It can be distributed freely for educational or research purposes, but cannot be re-sold. It must be cited correctly in any publication or report that uses results from the program.
